Understanding Your Scores
The Observatory scores each ASN across four categories. The current month's report is regenerated daily as a month-to-date figure, so a score reflects everything observed since the start of the month, updated through yesterday.
Filtering: M1-M4 (Action 1)
The Filtering score averages metrics M1 through M4
Anti-Spoofing: M5 (Action 2)
The Anti-Spoofing score (metric M5) is built entirely from CAIDA Spoofer test results. The Observatory cannot see your filters directly. It only sees whether spoofed packets escaped your network during a test.
Routing Information: M7IRR & M7RPKI (Action 4)
Two separate scores measure whether your announced routes are documented.
Coordination: M8 (Action 3)
The Coordination score (metric M8) checks that working contact information for your ASN is publicly registered. Anything less than 100% shows as failing; there is no partial credit.
